JB Pritzker is your man. After he legalizes the wacky tobacky, he will save Illinois high school football.

Gotta be O'Fallon, Belleville East, Belleville West, Edwardsville, Minooka and The Plainfield's. They all have pretty reasonable travel and easy scheduling in the current format. With districts they'd have to travel several hours several times a year. DVC schools pulled a fast one and switched their problem which was recently resolved over to other schools.

The proposal shouldn't be to revoke. Just to restrict it to classes 1-4a. This will enable some support from smaller downstate schools

Do you really think this is a proposal passed by the downstate 1A-4A schools? Of the 9 schools in our conference of 2A and 3A schools, only 2 schools voted for it.

Plainfield Central would be out of the equation probably.

We still have two years until this is in place. Someone put the proposal together.
In some of the articles I've read, many coaches seemed surprised that this passed. It almost seemed like many didn't take the proposal seriously, since it was voted down in the past. They have two years to organize a counter proposal. It will be interesting to see what develops.

Not entirely, but my vibe is that downstate and out west had much more support. Obviously the NIUC is the best small-school conference in the state so doesn't have any reason for change.

Coaches aren't AD's and Principals. Only a few serve as coach and AD.
