What's the deal with Frank Shannon?

Two years ago he was our best backer in the minds of many. This year he's played a few downs in three games ... made five tackles in the Akron game.

Is he still being punished or did the other guys just pass him up during his year of penance (for whatever offense ... I never heard what it really was)?

Inquiring minds ... (especially since the threads are tending toward underwear and condiments).

Taking a year off of football has an effect, coupled with the fact that both Alexander and Evans are much improved this year thus far.

What ccraider said. Shannon was out for a year and unable to practice, use the facilities, etc.

Probably haven't heard the last of this from Shannon. He didn't take his suspension well, and now he isn't playing. When things like that happen, sometimes there are unwarranted and unwelcome repercussions later on.

I'm not so sure he wouldn't have been better than Evans after a few games to knock the rust off. Hard to say. Then again, Id a put Roy Finch in there.

Might have something to do with the recruiting and coaching of the coach we said couldn't recruit or coach.

Is that guy still around? LOL Looks like this season's group is pretty good, so I guess I'll have eat some crow if the LB play continues to be solid, but I'll wait until the end of the year.

Or maybe it was the move Bob made in Mike picking up the outside LB coaching to where Kish now only has to coach the inside LBs.

He sat out a year and is back on the team, so the "punishment" is over. He just got passed up by Evans and Alexander while he had to sit out a year. Hopefully he'll get a lot of playing time tomorrow vs. texass!

Just having a little fun Bama.

Logical fallacies are good to know, though.

I have a pretty good mental vocabulary, I just have a problem getting them out of my head so to utilize them. You and fitty allow me to recall them....and sometimes remind myself of their meaning....Bing!
