USA Today has released their final top 25 rankings for the season. I am shocked that they somehow overlooked the greatest team to ever play in NC, the mighty Crest Chargers. You would think they would be right there with past greats like Indy, Butler, and Richmond County that WERE ranked nationally..I was really disappointed to see the Cleveland County all stars left out. Thoughts?

My guess is they're currently camped out on lawnchairs with binoculars around their necks (and I mean NECKS) at Kings Mountain and Chase with no internet access since they've already floated the keg at Burns HS.

Honestly....what was better:

Beating SP twice in one year, or beating an overrated Havelock team for the state title?

...outside the borders of Cleveland County nobody know's who Crest is....statewide and most certainly nationwide......what a minute...it's a procter & gamble product...right?....lol.....

Crest was hurt by playing weak schedule. Only played one strong team all year and a number of weaklings the rest of the season. When teams are as soft as RS Central, Forestview, West Rowan and Kings Mtn as next toughest opponents the voters usually don't approve.

Might have had a chance to fool some by thinking they beat a strong opponent in Rock Hill South Pointe but then they realized it was some nobody squad from Belmont.

RaiderLaw is banking on Marty McFly hopping out of the DeLorean and taking him back to 1985. The last time Richmond was relevant.

Crest has been nationally ranked before...and we have two more state champions than havenot.

Richmond has become an embarrassment to their community, fans, and NCHSF, in general, much like South Point.

Wait until next year when we run the table again, and make it 32 - 0 in two years.

The midgets are on the clock. God I hope Havelock is not so scared they fall off. We showed the East the blueprint. Just manhandle them and they fold up quick. Like a PIMP!

Also, is #5 supposed to be the best linebacker in America for real? That was a joke right? It had to be a joke.

lol...sadly Crest wins a state title and Richmond STILL has more respect throughout the state....this year!......live in your flash in the pan glory.....we sustain....won a title every decade the schools has been open....can the Crustys say that?.....hmmmmmm?....

Yeah one way to rack up respect is losing to a Wake County team in the playoffs. Heard Millbrook lost half their guys midway through the game to play lacrosse.

Enough about former relevant programs and their fans that want to talk about Crest.

Richmond only has the respect of those few fans who are old enough to remember when they were once relevant.

They hate their coach.

Their coach plays players based on who's related to him apparently.

They have not played defense in three, four years.

Wake County.................
......... That's all we have to know.

Yep, you could argue Crest to be over New Bern. I think with the way Crest beat Havelock you have to consider them a top 3 team in Nc. Mallard Creek has to be number 1 imo.

crestrulz your my friend but the RED RAIDER WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR. How in the world yall think yall would be in top 25 in the country or even beat a college team when you barley beat us in the western finals.. yes yall defense is good but there other teams in 4a that is twice has good has yall.
