Both of you guys are making great points and is basically the different in Wrestling and Football. Colleges look for different things in the 2 sports. Football is all about athleticism, size, speed, etc. What is done on the field comes after all these items as we can see with Mugharbil. He is getting recruited all over the place because of his athleticism, size, and potential. He’s only played football a couple years.
Wrestling on the other hand, a set of skills has to be developed and that comes with coaches, training partners, competition, etc. No doubt Williams has a better shot at Robbinsville instead of say Murphy just because they do have some on staff that wrestled in college and they take the sport more serious. If he is really dedicated he would have a shot to stay nationally ranked but it would be far more likely at a PA, OH, or NJ school that pumps out wrestling recruits every year.
