We just lost to Bama.

Only a handful of teams can compete with them.

This wasn't like losing to Southern Miss.

Not only was the opponent Alabama, but UK played a very good first half.

I think people are just pissed off in general. Years of losing takes its toll, no doubt. I guess patience has run out for some.

U of L doing so well with a head coach Kentucky could have had probably exacerbates the misery for others.

Well said Eric. After last night I am in a wait and see mode. If we can beat some of Vandy, Missouri, AP, win 5 or 6 games and be very competitive in the others, well let's give it another year

Erik you are right, also because we didn't lose by 50 and look totally lost doing it some people are pissed about that.If they stopped and took a look at some of the crazy crap that happened in college football yesterday then they might get the idea that in any game just about anything can happen.

Defensively, we held them to their lowest point total of the year. Offensively, we scored as many points on them as #20 USC (at the time). Some may call me a sunshine pumper, but I've said I would contain my optimism until after the Bama game. If they were competitive, I could see them possibly winning 5-6 games on the season. They covered the spread last night and showed glimpses of improvement. My biggest concern moving forward is QB play.

To be angry is silly. Nobody thought it would be a game at the end of the 1st Quarter if you asked them before it started. I'm as skeptical as anybody about Stoops but they are moving in the right direction. Whether or not they can keep the momentum, I highly doubt it but we'll see.

Our defense has looked better since we locked our DC in the closet...
Makes you wonder bad things....

Probably because we dont make plays!!!! You got a chance to go up 10-0and your QB cant put loft on a ball for 6 then he puts the ball on ground 3 times...thats why

Loser mentality is "Well if he gets to 5, let's try again next year" lmao. Typical UK football fans.

I could care less about last night's game It was irrelevant to the season and always was going to be. We are mostly healthy after, which was my biggest fear. Beat Vandy, then rest up on the bye for MSU....hopefully beat them. The problem after that is UGA and @Missouri are your two games to get to 6 wins, win one of those and you are in. Can Stoops beat a team he is not supposed to? I have my doubts.

There is a corner of people who leap at every opportunity to criticize our coaches and our athletics department. Apparently they have nothing better to do. They come out of the woodwork after every loss, but generally disappear after wins.

Barker is probably lucky that he was out with an injury because if not that game might have given him one. As upset as anyone can be it's still amazing how a hand full of mistakes can make a game get of hand so quickly. Up 3, in field goal range, we manage to not only not throw the ball away on 3rd down but fumble it while running for his life. This changed field position and a lost minimum 6-0 lead. Two mistakes led to 10 points and it lost us a chance to be down only 7-3 at half to the #1 team in the nation. This kind of play has plagued us for years in the old iffin' game.

People are angry not because of one game or one season but because of 60 years of mediocre to bad football - caused by approx 50 years of mostly indifference and then after that incompetence (with some bad luck and a hard road mixed in). The sundae on top is our rival just down the road, which had its own equally hard if not harder bad road, is in the top 5 with a coach who publicly lobbied for the UK job.

So, understandable - even if some of it is over the top or irrational. The only thing that will fix it is either more cowbell or a once in a generation kind of coach that can transform Kentucky football.

I know Bama is the #1 ranked team right now. But, how many really think they are the best team in the country? I doubt they will be the Vegas favorite going into Tennessee. I expect them to be an even play or 1 point either way. Their offense is not that good. Their defense is very good.

Alabama will 100% be favored going into UT. UT is not very good at all, and extremely lucky to not have at least 2 losses already.

If it is so unpleasant for them that they must devolve on the internet and on the radio every week, then the logical thing to do would be to watch something else. So I think you are missing something. I have been a season ticket holder for years, and I don't have any trouble seeing our football program for what it really is, through good times and not as good. It really isn't that difficult. It's a sport. Some people just enjoy complaining. Don't forget, a lot of these people were complaining when Brooks was winning bowls.

I guess I'm angry because I just watched us get blown out on national tv, further cementing our reputation as a "basketball only school" while I watched another "basketball school" go on the road and beat Florida State and yet another "basketball school" whose QB added another notch to his Hesiman Trophy belt at Clemson.

Newsflash to those who missed it. Scan around the national articles this morning. There is no one (besides our fans) talking about how Kentucky played hard or respectable, etc, what they are doing is using words like demolished, crushed to describe the beatdown we took (and yes, it was an embarrassing beat down, I don't care if it was Alabama or not, it's embarrsssing to get blown out by ANYONE).

I didn't expect us to win or even be all that competitive, but what sickens me is seeing our fans who seem to not be mad or sad or even indifferent, but HAPPY about a 34-6 loss. That's the problem with this program in a nutshell. There is a culture problem around here and things will never change as long as we have it. When you're happy with 4 or 5 wins and "playing hard" then that's exactly what we'll get.

Clueless. The whole point is EVERYBODY knew UK had ZERO chance of even being competitive, not to mention keeping it close or winning. And then people come on here and yap about "holding" Bama to their lowest point total of the season, covering spread, playing hard, blah, blah, blah. It is pathetic.
