Why can't we find a decent qb

It's been a while since we had a guy that could make some plays. If Johnson hits Conrad and doesn't try to scramble this is a different game. 3 studs RBs and a JuCO qb. Never succeeds

Well when we find a decent o line we will have better qb play. You are right. The qb play has been lack luster but the o line is poor as well.
I would argue the O-line has played better than expected against the best defensive front in the country. Sacks will happen but we were running the ball decently.

Because we have had a HC that wouldn't leave the OC alone. We've had serviceable QB's. But Stoops wouldn't let the OC alone. Best thing that has happened is Stooos taking over the D. Tonight we are gonna struggle regardless. We're playing an elite D in BAMA. They make a lot of QB's look bad.

Playing against the best D in the country will cause your QB to look bad. He has hurt us with the fumbles, but has also made some pretty good throws.

Not sure what you all want from him. He's our back up playing against a team that makes really good QBs look bad.

Wrong. Because pissy fingers won't hire them.
Dude, we're Kentucky. We have no recruiting base. We are one of the worst jobs in the SEC. No big name coach is going to jump to us. We have to hire an up and comer. We just have to let them up and come.

In years past I may have agreed. But with the new facilities and upgrades, And SEC money, We could hire a good coach. In fact, we could have hired one 4 years ago, but our AD cares more about perception than winning. The biggest roadblock we have to winning in football is our administration. They are terrible at hiring and not committed to winning.

The city of Louisville is in the state of Kentucky. They seem to have been competitive for the better part of a decade and a half.

Yes, because we have morals. Look it up.

Cheat lie, steal, and God forbid a coach have an affair. If we are in the top ten. I'm all in. Screw our fans. I understand many live in the Bible belt of Kentucky.

Grow up

The QB we have now has shown more heart than patty ice or barker have shown me so far. He's got a better record also. Let's see what this kid can do after a game or two

The plays that he is NOT making can not all be blamed on the o line. So far in the third he is not looking good.
He reminds me, so far, if towles. Really good throw; then a bunch of head scratchers

Perhaps the dumbest, most ignorant post I've seen on here.

He really needs to keep the ball on the read option in designed runs...he simply isn't a great passer and we need to have the viable run threat out of him...why we don't have more designed runs for him is not using him to the best he can give us IMO.

Dude do you think Alabama's QB will play in the NFL? Hell no. It's all about the supporting cast. KY has none.

The QB excuse is pathetic. That has not been KY 's problem.

Yeah, they have also played in powder puff conferences until the last couple of years when they moved to a conference with two other decent teams. We, however, are charter members of the southeastern conference; the best conference in college football most years. They get 4-5 built in wins every year.

When you win, players want to go to your school. It builds on itself. We are naturally at a disadvantage in the SEC. We are traditionally the bottom feeders in our conference, whereas they've traditionally been mediocre to good in **** conferences. You put us in the ACC and we've been bowling two years and our recruiting benefits from that.

In weaker conferences , that is a factor that cannot be overlooked and makes them not even comparable . They built their program by having to beat Rutgers as their best opponent some of those years .

Yeah I think he will. He's a freshman he ll get a shot. We have 3 stud running backs an underused great TE and we have some nice receivers. We ve had qbs who are inaccurate and qbs who can't get the ball down the field. Qb is a major reason stoops hasn't been to a bowl game.
