Why not play spring sports now?

We could be playing baseball and softball in NC right now. Social distancing is not a problem in either sport and it would alleviate having to have a shortened season when the spring comes back around.

agreed....my grandsons have been playing travel baseball since May...no reason to not having high school teams doing the same............................

That's the thing, it makes too much sense, so don't expect it now days.

That means they would have to let lacrosse play. Which they are already playing travel lacrosse but then the state would be allowing one contact sport to play but not another (football).

Cross country, tennis and track could all be played now safely. Waste of opportunity by NCHSAA.
