Not even one vote so far, it will probably take UK being 7-3 or 8-3 to get into the Top 25 to many voters talking about how weak the SEC east is and UK has no Marquee win.

No. beating Georgia and Tennessee wpuld get us there, which would add some juice to the Dirty Bird finale.

Lot of "ifs" to get there, but if we could be 8-3 going into the game with loserville you gotta think we would be ranked, even if it's just 24 or 25.

I don't see it. No one nationally is going to give us much credit, at least not enough to put us into the top 25 conversation...YET.

I think the only way we get ranked is if we win out. I don't see wins vs. UGA and UT getting us in.

Here is the big issue. I like using Sagarin ratings because they remove much of the eye test and popularity contest most voters seem to hold onto.

At present we have beaten teams rated 167 New Mexico St, 54 Mississippi St, 71 Missouri, 74 South Carolina , and 70 Vandy.
We have lost to teams rated 87 Southern Miss, 13 Florida and 1 Bama.
We still have to play 55 Georgia, 22 Tennessee, 229 Austin Peay and 7 Louisville.

Any win is a good win, and it feels great to be winning. It i s just the teams we are beating are not very good.

No but if we win every game until we play Louisville, we'll be in the top 25. And let's get this out of the way even though it has been stated before. We got beat by southern miss and it's not like we've beaten good teams. All can change though

We are an underdog at home to a .500 team. Nationally we are still not close to getting respect. The SEC East is a weak conference and beating the bottom half of it won't get us ranked. That's no fault to the team though. You have to play your schedule.

Georgia win equals votes. UT win equals in at 24 or 25. Upset U of L and we go bowling ranked at the back of the teens.

you will have teams like Boise State for example who haven't really played anybody of importance that will get ranked. They just win games against the teams they're supposed to beat ( except wyoming lol). I also think if we won against Southern Miss and played florida close we would be rank maybe 25 or right on the outside of it

Had we beat USM and played with Florida then we probably would have slid into 24 or 25 this week.
If both those were true we'd be much higher than 24th or 25th... We would be 6-2 with our only losses being @ Bama #1 and @ UF #10

Who cares? How do you think UofL built their now top ten program? Playing a weak schedule for years and recruiting the cast offs and dregs of college football. Well, it worked including re-hiring an unemployable coach.

I don't disagree with that but I have a feeling our history, program perception nationally, and the wins being against losing teams would make people hesitant and be in wait and see mode. Beat Georgia and we probably would have jumped to 12-15. JMO anyways.

Win against Southern Miss and we are close. 6-2 with losses to Bama and Florida would be a pretty good resume. That Southern Miss loss really hurts.

That resume lacks a quality win, pretty good record, yes. Pretty good resume, no.

Sorry, what is your point. I do not care how Louisville built there team.
The question is will Kentucky be ranked. My answer is no because the teams we have beaten are horrible. Once we beat Georgia and then Tennessee, we will be ranked.

Wyoming and LA Tech get votes this week. UT is just outside of the Top 25 in both polls at 5-3.

Wyoming is 6-2 with a win over a Top 15 team at the time. That win grabbbed voters attention which why they got votes. The thing with UT they are going the wrong direction in the polls.
