The only recruiting rankings that matter are the ones that take into account how the athletes actually performed on the field when they were at the school.

I’m thinking if the class stays in top 15 it will be highest ranked class ever.

Someone on here awhile back posted a picture of an old newspaper clipping by Mickey Furfari that stated WVU had the 3rd rated class in the country. I think it was in 1985.

A little misleading, though. we have an average 'star' value of 3, but that includes a '0' for the Aussie punter. We have 4--4 star and only one--2 star, with all the rest being 3 star. I really care little about rankings or number of stars, but it is a shame that many place a lot of credence on both and those presenting the data do so with out the benefit of applied logic when it comes to something out of the ordinary (such as a foreign player who does not fit their scheme).

Our highest was 25 in 2013.

#23 in 2007. After the dust settled yesterday, currently sitting at #21. So far the highest ranked class in Rivals database going back to 2002.
