Too much drama for me. Look, kid is playing his senior season 5 minutes outside my door for the HS my kids will attend, and I have not attended a game this fall. He decommitted. End of (Russ Yeast) story from where I sit.

Tell his brother to tell him to grow up.

Anyone in their right mind is going to hire a High School Coach to coach WR's in college.

I don't blame Stoops for not interviewing him.

Art Briles was a high school when he became RB coach at Texas Tech and two years later was became a head coach.

Chad Morris was a high school coach when he became the OC/QB coach at tulsa and then went to Clemson as OC after one year at Tulsa and is now a head coach.

I'm sorry, but how can you let your son play for that dirtbag at UL , our archrival?

Being a former UK Wildcat, this is inexcusable.....It really is....I do not wish him luck. NOPE, I do not at all.

He could have gone so many other places other than that dirtbag's program at City College.

love Craig but hate to say it ....this really is a "who cares" story. I think he will be a decent player but not the least bit bothered by this

No ring of honor for Craig. Sorry. This has had some real quirky feeling from get go. I would say Craig Yeast is as about as popular as any Wildcat in the last 20 years not named Cobb or Couch
I would say Craig Yeast was that popular amongst fans. He and Couch were highly liked and loved, most feel that he deserves to be in ring of honor. I don't for some reason now, I don't think they should revisit this. That honor has sailed. Sorry, tired of the Keith Martin, George Adams types like Yeast that their sons don't choose UK. Sorry, selfish but truthful. I would think Tony Delk and Craig Yeast in each respective sports were always the guys that UK fans wanted jersey retired or in ring of honor. Craig I hope does not get in.

I also hope UK staff did not get too egotistical and couldn't make it work due to some hard feelings. I would be disappointed in them. The kid should be at UK and it's a damn shame it did not work out.
I promise with how good his dad was, the kid will be a player, well worth the take. He will be better than some of these stiffs we sign in Ohio or S. Carolina, just wait and see. Never fails this one will come back and haunt you.

Jamal Adams?

Seriously?

Kid grew up in Texas.

Was the #1 Safety in his class, 5 star.

Throughout his high school years if he paid any attention to KY it was all Joker and the 2-10 first year of CMS and you are upset he chose LSU?

Come on brother... geez.

At least Zak Martin was a UK fan, but he grew up in Indiana and chose Notre Dame.

Drafted #16 in 2014 and was a All Pro his first two years.

The football side of us has such a hard time with these elite prospects.

Yeast is no where near the level of those two and grew up 35 minutes away, I can see some animosity with him. And i agree with you he does have some real talent.

I dont think it has anything to do with Yeast but UL is on a much higher level than us currently, be hard to criticize kids going there today.

If you were an Ole Miss fan I bet you would have burned that Archie jersey the day Peyton committed to UT...

Tried to tell everybody from the get go that didn't want a guy like BP at UK...These kids and their parents DO NOT care about BP as an immoral person...He wins fb games and that is what kids want to play under...you ever listen to their "music", -it is so degrading to women it's not funny, but even the young women love it...just a sign of the times.

Louisville fans probably think they've 1 upped us right now but in all reality, I trust our staffs judgement of Yeast and they didn't like it.
Sorry, but based on what are you giving such blind loyalty to the staff for knowing talent.

I just love how we crucify some of the most beloved UK players in history around here due to hearsay and at best, a serious lack of details.
Perfectly said. Sounds like sour grapes from way too many.
It goes back to a question I tend to ask often when this happens. Why is such a big deal to simply say we recruited a player we wanted and we got beat.
It happens every day. But fans tend to post the player wasn't good enough, didn't really want him, we have better, bad attitude.

Honestly, I would have liked to have had him. Not at a Damien Harris level or even remotely close, but I would have liked it.

Truth is, he'll do okay at UL and we'll do OK without him. Craig Yeast is still one of the all-time greats at UK and is always part of the family (in my opinion). Much ado about nothing.

Hope he plays defense - I don't want him scoring touchdowns against us!:joy:

UK backed off him, he is not as fast as his dad, he will transfer from Louisville & wound up playing for a Mac School.

Yes, if I didn't know better I'd swear this was the Tard Bball board.

I don't really care. I'm sure after a few years in the program the kid will become a decent player for UL, but it's not like we're talking about a can't miss player. This kid is not as skilled of a player as his dad was back in the day. I know you don't have to be a great player to help a team win, but each recruiting class has a bunch of kids with the skill level this kid has. It is kind of odd that he would pick his dad's college rival to play for. I don't know how many times this has happened in the past, but it is odd. It's whatever.

Best of luck to the Young man except when he plays Kentucky. I'm sure his parents love him but I hope not enough to wear Louisville gear in public.

Here's hoping the coaches at Louisville, Alabama, Nebraska, Iowa, Ole Miss, and Auburn all saw something different than UK saw that caused them to back off him.

We can only go by what all the major recruiting sites tell us. But by all means if you have differing info please share.

Rivals, Scout and 247 all have him with a Bama offer. Now how much was Bama interested in him is something none of us may never know. Then again we all know Bama has boat load of talent so maybe he figures he will get on the field sooner at UofL then he would at Bama.
