Alabama freshman guard Jusaun Holt has entered the transfer portal, he tells On3.

“First, I would like to thank Coach Oats and the University of Alabama for giving me this opportunity many don’t get to be a part of. For me as a player, I learned a lot and improved in all aspects of my game on and off the court. I am forever grateful to have been a part of Bama nation and have no regret. However, with that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal and reopening my recruitment,” Holt said in a statement to On3.

Holt played sparingly as a freshman, appearing in 22 games but only averaging approximately seven minutes per outing.

A native of Tacoma, Washington, Holt moved to the Atlanta area to attend St. Francis Day School to finish out his high school career. As a senior, he averaged 21.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.

The 6-foot-6 guard was ranked as a Consensus four-star prospect coming out of high school. He chose Alabama over Xavier, Wake Forest, Miami, Georgia, Washington, among others. He was also the first signee to join the Crimson Tide out of the Atlanta area since Collin Sexton in 2017.
