Few prospects are as hot right now as five-star EDGE Nyckoles Harbor out of Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll.

Harbor made national news over the weekend at the Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic by running the 200 meters in 20.79 seconds. That is the fourth-fastest in high school history, according to FloTrack.

He already had offers from many of the biggest programs across the country, but he finally received an offer Tuesday from Alabama.

He talked earlier this week with Billy Embody about his otherworldly 200-meter time.

“It was probably because it was a prelim, I didn’t have any blocks or no competition around me or the top people around me,” Harbor told On3. “I was just running for the final. I just felt really good about it. I’m known around the track world as one of the top sprinters, but I wanted to show everybody that I could take it to the next level because I’m doing football. It really changed my life for the better.”

Nyckoles Harbor is the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the top EDGE prospect and top recruit from Washington D.C.

On3 ranks Harbor ever higher than 13th, slotting him as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2023 On300 ranking.

He currently has an NIL Valuation of $24,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton said Harbor a few months ago that Harbor is a potential long-term challenger to Arch Manning for the No. 1 spot in the On300 rankings

“Look, when you have a prospect that’s 6-foot-4, 6-foot-5, over 220 pounds and has posted 10.38 (100 meters) and 21.3 (200 meters) on the track…with that length – you are dealing with a special athlete,” Hamilton said. “And we don’t throw around that term often. Just watching him track the ball at receiver. The dexterity and agility to go with the speed and the frame. He’s one that I’m looking at long-term where people may say, “hmm…this guy reminds me of Jevon Kearse. Could he be the next Freak?” He’s the guy that I could see challenging for No. 1 long-term.”
