One of Alabama’s critical players on offense, tight end Jahleel Billingsley was injured on the first offensive drive of the Alabama-Tennessee game tonight.

Below is the hit where he was injured.

As he was going to the ground with the catch, his right arm hit the ground hard. He was able to walk off the field on his own power but did spend some time in the medical tent.

Update: He’s re-entered the game, so the injury must not have been serious.

The talented tight end has had an up and down junior year in the 2021 season. Despite his issues early on in fall camp with Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Billingsley has still made plays for the Tide this fall.

Watch as he catches a 26-yard touchdown pass from his quarterback Bryce Young against the Florida Gators.

However, he was not the only Alabama tight end to get injured in the game as Latu was hurt as well. He was able to walk off on his own power.

Check out the tweet from On3’s Clint Lamb.

Latu is already in the middle of a breakout season for the Tide, as he’s hauled in five receiving touchdowns on just 10 catches so far in 2021.

Earlier in the Tennessee game, Latu snatched a 27-yard catch from quarterback Bryce Young. Check it out below.
