The rivalry between Alabama and Tennessee features some bad blood. However, it’s all love for Alabama linebacker and Tennessee transfer, Henry To’oTo’o.

After the Crimson Tide defeated the Volunteers 52-24, To’o To’o took to Twitter to send a message to his former Tennessee teammates.

“LOVE! FOREVER!” tweeted To’oTo’o, following the victory.

To’oTo’o began his college career with Tennessee, before joining Alabama this season through the transfer portal. On the field, To’oTo’o celebrated with cigars nears the Alabama student section.

“Smoke ’em if you got ’em! Smoke ’em if you got ’em,” shouted To’oTo’o to the camera filming their celebration postgame.

To’oTo’o and Alabama’s players celebrated their victory over Tennessee with their longstanding tradition on Saturday. Moreover, Crimson Tide players rushed out of the locker room and into the stands to take part after the game.

The smoking of the cigars is a tradition in the rivalry – “The Third Saturday in October” – that dates back to 1961. One of the players celebrating with fans in the stands was one of the newest additions to Alabama, linebacker Henry To’oTo’o.

To’oTo’o’s impact on the Alabama defense has been immediate, and he was a factor in Alabama’s second-half defense that gave up just ten points after a slow start.

Nick Saban on Henry To’oTo’o: ‘Henry has done a really good job.’

Prior to To’oTo’o’s return to Tennessee, Alabama coach Nick Saban praised the young linebacker. Evidently, he’s a huge fan of the Tennessee transfer.

“Henry has done a really good job,” said Saban last week. “He’s a really good communicator, smart. I think he helps everybody play better up front, in terms of his ability to communicate, have good understanding of the defense – what the offense is trying to do, what we’re trying to do on defense – to stop it. I think that’s been very helpful to all of our players.”

He continued: “Communication on defense is really important in adjustments, and that’s one of the things that I think Henry has added to our group – his ability to communicate and help other people be confident – in doing the right things.”

Henry To’oTo’o has been a huge factor for the Crimson Tide this year. It may be all love with his former Tennessee teammates, but he’s enjoying his victory cigars with Alabama.
