Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Jordan Addison took home the 2021 Fred Biletnikoff Award on Tuesday evening, much to the surprise of Alabama wideout Jameson Williams. The Crimson Tide’s No. 1 wideout took to Instagram to post several memes, which signaled his incredulity.

One of the memes happened to be Nick Saban from the Notre Dame game last season when he couldn’t hear the reporter asking him a question.

Jameson Williams was up against Pitt’s Jordan Addison and Purdue’s David Bell for the Biletnikoff this season.

While Addison led the nation with 17 touchdown catches from Heisman candidate Kenny Pickett, Williams was lighting it up for 15 scores with his own Heisman candidate, Bryce Young.

Addison finished with 1,479 yards, which was just 34 more yards than Williams. However, Addison had 93 receptions (15.9 average) and the Tide receiver had 68 (21.25 average). Addison needs just four more catches to break Pitt’s single-season record of 96 receptions.

Jameson Williams will be leading a John Metchie-less Crimson Tide with Bryce Young versus Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl to end the year. He might have lost the Biletnikoff but Williams still has a shot at the ultimate prize – a national championship.

Todd McShay updates Jameson Williams draft stock

Jameson Williams has seen his stock skyrocket this year after transferring to Alabama from Ohio State. One ESPN analyst thinks he could end up being one of the top picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Todd McShay went on Twitter during last week’s SEC Championship and posted quite a prediction for Williams’ future. He was impressed with what he saw from the Crimson Tide’s top receiver.

“Alabama WR Jameson Williams is ridiculous,” McShay tweeted during the SEC Championship last week. “Did you see how sudden he was on that double move?? Add his value as a return specialist and as a gunner… I’ll be really surprised if he isn’t a top-20 pick in April.”

In last week’s conference title game against Georgia, Williams had seven receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns to help Alabama beat the Bulldogs 41-24 in Atlanta.
