Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star athlete Edwin Joseph received an offer from Auburn on Sunday night. He announced the news on social media.

The 6-foot-0, 171 pound prospect is the No. 524 overall prospect and No. 24 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also a three-star recruit and the No. 97 player in Florida.

On3 rates Joseph higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is a four-star recruit, the No. 264 overall prospect and the No. 10 athlete in the country. He is also the No. 53 player in Florida.

Joseph took an official visit to Penn State this weekend. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction MachineMiami has a commanding lead for his commitment at 97.6%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Auburn’s 2023 recruiting class currently includes 10 commitments and is comprised of six four-stars and four three-stars. The Tigers’ group ranks No. 32 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 10 in the SEC.

Joseph has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Edwin Joseph On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Edwin Joseph:

“Two-way starter at corner and wide receiver whose ball skills shine on both sides of the ball. High point ability and natural hands jump off the screen. Very comfortable pass catcher. Shifty with the ball in his hands who can make tacklers miss in a phone booth. Excellent hip fluidity. Impressive change of direction and ability to stay in phase at corner. See the physicality shine more on offense than defense.

“Tough to bring down as a ball carrier and is a willing tackler but not overly violent or ferocious. Projects as a quality cover corner with excellent ball skills on defense. Strong Z or slot receiver on offense who can paper cut defenses in the intermediate and underneath passing game. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2023 recruiting class.”
