In a conversation with Marty Smith and Ryan McGee of the SEC Network, Auburn coach Bryan Harsin revealed the list of sporting events that he wants to experience before he dies. Maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise, but for Harsin, it begins with experiencing college football from the fans’ perspective.

“At some point, I do want to tailgate, I do want to paint my face, I do want to go to some of these games, alright,” Bryan Harsin said.

“I’ve been to a couple NFL games. I want to get to a couple NFL games, but I don’t know.”

Bryan Harsin also mentioned getting to a race because he’s seen Ford v Ferrari too many times. Ultimately, though, it’s most important for Harsin to experience college football in another, unique way. That way, he can have absorbed the game he loves as completely as possible.

Bryan Harsin recently trolled Kentucky

Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari and football coach Mark Stoops recently got into a social media fight over whether Kentucky is a basketball or football school. Bryan Harsin, in response, tweeted a photo of himself and basketball coach Bruce Pearl. The caption read, “Auburn Family! #EverythingSchool.”

When asked about the tweet and if it was a dig at the Kentucky coaches, dismissed his trolling efforts.

“We’re talking about social media now?” Bryan Harsin smiled. Eventually, however, he admitted it might have been about Kentucky, saying, “Yeah, I guess. Timing is everything, right?”

It’s been important for Bryan Harsin to be able to be loose and have fun. After a challenging offseason, where it was clear people at Auburn wanted to fire him, it could be easy to feel like a dead man walking in 2022. However, he’s seemingly been having fun with a chip on his shoulder.

“It doesn’t matter what anybody says to me. All that stuff is just a drama that surrounds what we do, but that’s not what we talk about necessarily. We talk about what we have to do today, like what’s on that board. Those are things that we talk about; those are things that matter to us, and that’s the motivating factor.”
