Pennsauken (N.J.) three-star safety Kahlil Ali announced his commitment to Boston College on Saturday. He chose the Eagles after backing off his pledge to the program on Oct. 31.

Ali is the No. 728 overall prospect and No. 67 safety in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in New Jersey.

The first time Ali pledged to Boston College was on June 16. Now, he is the 17th member of the Eagles’ 2023 recruiting class.

Boston College’s group is No. 47 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 8 in the ACC. The Eagles’ highest-ranked prospect is Philadelphia Neumann Goretti four-star cornerback Shawn Battle, the No. 510 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

A 5-foot-11, 177-pound defensive back, Ali is one of three safeties committed to Boston College. The others are Colonial Heights (Va.) Life Christian Academy three-star Antonio Cotman Jr. and Baltimore Mount Saint Joseph three-star Carter Davis.

During his recruitment, Ali made four visits to Chestnut Hill. His official visit to the Eagles came on the weekend of June 11.

Ali has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
