Manor (Texas) four-star EDGE Princewill Umanmielen received an offer from California on Wednesday afternoon. He announced the news on social media.

Umanmielen is the No. 166 overall prospect and No. 24 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 31 player in Texas.

On3 ranks Umanmielen higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 23 EDGE in the country.

The 6-foot-4.5, 215 pound pass rusher has received 17 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction, it is a close race for Umanmielen’s commitment. Houston currently leads for his pledge at 36.5%, while SMU is close behind 32%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Golden Bears’ 2023 recruiting class is No. 98 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 11 in the Pac-12. California’s group, which currently contains seven prospects, dropped substantially in the rankings following decommitments from Mission Hills (Calif.) St. John Bosco R.J. Jones and Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral three-star defensive lineman Ashton Sanders.

Umanmielen has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
