Temple (Texas) Mikal Harrison-Pilot has locked in his first — and likely only — official visit of the summer. The nation’s No. 2 athlete in the On3 Consensus will head to West to Cal on the weekend of June 24, On3’s Sam Spiegelman has confirmed.

The Bears are among a long list of suitors for Harrison-Pilot, but they’re in a group of four schools that is beginning to separate from the pack. That quartet also includes OklahomaTexas, and Houston.

Harrison-Pilot visited Berkeley at the end of March and has been eyeing a return back for quite some time. The Bears are expected to get the On300 athlete’s lone summer official visit.

It’s all about relationships and they’re literally like family out there and I love all of them,” he previously said of Cal. “All of the coaches want, when I was up there, wanted me, you don’t see from a lot of coaches, the head coach, the OC, even the DL coach, analysts, it was everyone.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder could play either receiver or safety at the next level. Texas is currently the slight leader in his recruitment, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). It gives the Longhorns a 23.8 percent chance of securing Mikal Harrison-Pilot’s commitment, with Cal (16.8%) and a handful of other schools trailing behind.
