Clemson is getting healthier at an ideal time as the Tigers prepare to head to Tallahassee to take on Florida State.

Dabo Swinney confirmed during his press conference Tuesday morning that defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is good to go for Saturday’s matchup with the Seminoles.

Bresee missed the past two games against NC State and Boston College due to a “non-football medical issue.”

The former No. 1 overall recruit in the country also missed the game against Louisiana Tech after his sister Ella Bresee passed away due to cancer.

This will be the first time all season that Clemson has had all of its top defensive linemen available as defensive end Xavier Thomas is also back. The plan is for Thomas to see his snap count increase this week after he played six snaps and recorded two sacks against Boston College.

Clemson’s defensive line is loaded when healthy with Bresee, Thomas, Tyler Davis, Myles Murphy, KJ Henry and Ruke Orhorhoro.

In addition to the defensive line, Clemson is also getting healthier in the secondary. The Tigers will get safety Tyler Venables back this week after he suffered an injury in a moped crash last week.

Swinney added that safety RJ Mickens and defensive back Malcolm Greene are also cleared to play against the Seminoles.

Clemson is also hopeful that cornerback Sheridan Jones will play against Florida State after missing the past three weeks.

The plan was for Jones to play last weekend against BC, but Clemson found out late last week that he would be unable to go.

The Tigers won’t have running back Kobe Pace healthy after he recently had a procedure done after suffering a high ankle sprain.

However, it appears as though Clemson will be about as healthy as it has been all season against the Seminoles.
