Lee Corso made his feelings known and then some on the Clemson Tigers during College GameDay on Saturday.

Evidently, the legendary coach turned analyst isn’t a fan of Dabo Swinney’s squad in 2022, repeatedly calling the Tigers overrated and picking Wake Forest to send Clemson home with a loss.

“Clemson is overrated. Yeah, Clemson is overrated. That’s right. Clemson’s overrated,” exclaimed Corso. “Wake has lost 13 straight to the Tigers, but this could be the year. Why? Because Wake has got an offense that can out-score the Tigers. They’re at home, where they’ve won 11 straight games, so it makes sense to me.

“Wake Forest upsets No. 5 Clemson today, write it down. Clemson’s overrated!”

Evidently, Lee Corso believes Clemson’s revenge tour will take a huge hit when the Demon Deacons take it to them on Saturday. Time will tell if he’s right, but there’s no question where the analyst stands.

Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei reveals offseason connection with Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman

Moreover, Clemson’s DJ Uiagalelei is one of the most high-profile quarterbacks in college football. A former five-star recruit, expectations have been incredibly high for him and he’s struggled to live up to them.

Meanwhile, Sam Hartman was a relatively under-recruited three-star recruit, who made a name for himself by his play on the field. Now, they’re preparing to play one another.

During a press conference, Uiagalelei was asked about what it’s going to be like to play against Sam Hartman.

“Sam Hartman, he’s a great quarterback,” DJ Uiagalelei said. “I had the pleasure of working out with him this whole offseason.”

“He came to California a couple times. Worked out with him during the Summer, during Spring time as well. I think he’s just a really good guy. I mean, besides football. He’s a great quarterback, as well. He does amazing stuff on the football field, but I think he’s a cool guy to hang out with. So, I’m excited to play against Wake Forest.”

This past offseason, Uiagalelei worked to improve his game after a disappointing 2021 season. That included losing a significant amount of weight and trying to transform his overall game

Sam Hartman came into the 2022 season with fewer questions and higher expectations than DJ Uiagalelei. Unfortunately, he missed time due to a blood clot. However, he’s healthy now and able to play in Wake Forest’s game against Clemson.
