Buford (Ga.) four-star EDGE KingJoseph Edwards is visiting Clemson this weekend for the Tigers’ top-10 clash with NC State. A few hours before kickoff, he posted a video of his arrival to Clemson’s football facility. It included an interaction with Clemson defensive ends coach Lemanski Hall.

Edwards is the No. 36 overall prospect and No. 6 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 8 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-4.5, 240 pound prospect is not the only high-profile visitor in Death Valley this weekend. Other 2024 recruits attending the Tigers’ game include Buford (Ga.) five-star safety KJ Bolden and Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger.

“I know the program doesn’t offer many people and they’ve been an excellent program for over a decade,” Edwards told On3’s Jeremy Johnson about Clemson.

Edwards has numerous visits planned for this fall. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Georgia has a commanding lead for his commitment at 85.9%.

Edwards has an On3 NIL Valuation of $94K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
