WATCH: Clemson 5-star QB commit Christopher Vizzina at Tigers' game against NC State
Birmingham (Ala.) Briarwood Christian five-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina committed to Clemson on April 12. He has been back to Death Valley multiple times since then, including on Saturday night for the Tigers’ top-10 matchup with NC State.
Vizzina is the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 6 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Alabama.
The 6-foot-4, 205 pound quarterback is the highest-ranked prospect in Clemson’s 2023 recruiting class. Clemson’s group is No. 8 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC.

“Quarterback with translatable tools and the best feet among top signal callers in the 2023 cycle. Has ideal size at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. Consistently shows twitchy, explosive movements in his lower body. Plays with outstanding feet and has some of, if not the best pocket movement and awareness of top quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. A loose, athletic mover. Comfortable stepping up into the pocket or moving outside to escape pressure. Shows a strong arm in game and camp settings. Primarily delivers from the same arm slot on most passes. Was among the more efficient passers among top 2023 quarterbacks as a junior, though he did not have quite the number of attempts as many others.
“Has the burst and top-end play speed to present a considerable run threat, rushing for 15 touchdowns as a junior.
