Lancaster (Texas) four-star safety Corian Gipson received an offer from Colorado on Friday afternoon. He announced the news over social media.

Gipson is the No. 64 overall prospect and No. 7 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Texas.

On3 rates Gipson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 29 overall prospect, No. 2 safety and No. 5 player in Texas.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Texas has a close lead for Gipson’s commitment at 32.9%. Texas A&M has the next-best odds at 15.1%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Buffaloes’ 2024 recruiting class does not have any commitments. Meanwhile, Colorado’s 2023 class is No. 56 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 8 in the Pac-12.

A 6-foot-0, 165 pound prospect, Gipson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $69K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
