Colorado OL Tyler Johnson enters NCAA transfer portal
Colorado offensive lineman Tyler Johnson entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Johson began his career at Texas out of high school. However, he transferred to Houston ahead of the 2023 season before entering the portal a second time.
He landed at Colorado in 2024 and will now look for the fourth school of his collegiate career.
As a member of the Class of 2019, Johnson was a four-star recruit out of Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 11 overall prospect in the state, the No. 9 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 68 overall prospect in the class.

While preparing for the game, head coach Deion Sanders actually sent a warning to players entering the transfer portal.
“To many of the Portal Young Men that’s looking & searching for the right situation. You’re gonna get vetted thoroughly by us and then I pray u know the difference of being offered a bag & being offered a BLESSING,” Sanders wrote on X. “Ask Grandma-nem what I mean. #CoachPrime “I Ain’t Hard 2 Find.””
With stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter expected to move on after this season, there’s no doubt Deion Sanders will look to load up in the portal again this offseason. After Colorado’s success story this season, Sanders shouldn’t have any trouble finding players interested.
