Class of 2024 athlete Josiah Davis of Nashville (GA) Berrien High announced his commitment to Florida Monday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 185 pounder chose the Gators over Tennessee, Kentucky, and others.

Davis on why he chose Florida

“Florida is just a great school overall, football and academic wise,” Davis said. “The bond I have with the coaches, especially coach CJ, coach Bateman, and Coach Armstrong. They treat me very special every time I visit up there.”

The Peach State athlete joins coach Billy Napier and the Gators’ Top 3 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback DJ Lagway, four-star linebacker Myles Graham, four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes, and others. He was primarily recruited by coach Jay Bateman, the inside linebackers coach for the Florida Gators.

Josiah Davis currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

He ranks as the No. 461 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 39 safety and the No. 56 player in the state of Georgia.
