Lafayette (La.) Lafayette Christian Academy four-star athlete Ju’Juan Johnson received an offer from Florida on Tuesday. He announced the news over social media.

Johnson is the No. 195 overall prospect and No. 18 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Louisiana.

On3 rates Johnson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 116 overall prospect, No. 12 athlete and No. 2 player in Louisiana.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect announced a top seven of AlabamaGeorgiaLSUPenn StateTexasTennessee and Vanderbilt on Dec. 7. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Tigers have a commanding lead for his commitment at 94.2%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Gators currently have three members of their 2024 recruiting class. They are Willis (Texas) four-star quarterback DJ Lagway, Atlanta Woodward Academy four-star linebacker Myles Graham and North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School four-star running back Chauncey Bowens.

Johnson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Johnson had a strong performance during his junior season

On Oct. 13, Johnson and Lafayette Christian Academy fell 21-17 to Lafayette (La.) Teurlings Catholic. However, his play that day received high praise from On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman.

“Ju’Juan Johnson is a three-year starter for Lafayette (La.) Christian Academy, now entrenched as one of the top programs in Louisiana out of the Acadiana area,” Spiegelman wrote. “Playing quarterback, Johnson was LCA’s top playmaker offensively with the rock in his hands and came away with several long runs as he evaded pressure and also took over in the open field. At 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds with verified 4.5 speed, Johnson runs with conviction. He’s elusive with quick hips and short-area burst and has outstanding football awareness to play the quarterback position.

“With the game in the balance, Johnson shifted over the defensive back and made a third-down pass breakup out of slot, where his skill set is an ideal match. Johnson turned and ran with the slot receiver and perfectly deflected it. He was also in position to cover on the game’s final play despite an unbelievable throw and catch that decided the outcome. Johnson is one of the more intriguing athletes in the country regardless of position and has taken to defensive back seamlessly.”
