Naples (Fla.) safety Devin Moore has committed to Florida, he announced Wednesday morning in a ceremony at his high school.

Moore is the No. 186 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 13 safety and the No. 24 prospect in Florida.

Moore chose the Gators over Notre Dame, who he decommitted from two weeks ago following Brian Kelly’s departure to LSU.

Devin Moore Scouting Summary

A coordinated, smooth mover in coverage. Plays cornerback for his high school and could line up there or at safety. Looks like a bigger wide receiver playing defensive back. Shows instincts in coverage, closing quickly as a cover-down defender and turning to make plays on the ball downfield. Returned a few kicks for touchdowns as a senior. Also played wide receiver sparingly. Looks to have a high upside. — Charles Power (Director of Scouting and Rankings)
