Miami (Fla.) Miami Central five-star wide receiver Joshisa Trader is one of the top players in the 2024 recruiting class. Today, he is on campus at Florida.

The Gators are holding their Friday Night Lights event, as well as a recruiting cookout tomorrow. Prospects who will be on campus Saturday include Montgomery (Ala.) Carver five-star EDGE Qua Russaw, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver five-star defensive lineman James Smith and 2024 Chesapeake (Va.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks.

Trader is the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 wide receiver in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Florida behind Ricks.

While in Gainesville, Trader donned a Gators uniform and posed for a photo inside Florida’s facility.

Landing Trader would be a massive win on the recruiting trail for Billy Napier. However, Florida has to go up against multiple programs to land his commitment.

Trader currently has 19 offers. He has taken nine unofficial visits, with Miami earning two of them across consecutive weeks in April.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has a commanding lead for Trader at 90.8%. He took an unofficial visit to the Buckeyes on April 2. The Hurricanes have the second-best odds at 2.7%, while Florida has the third-best chance at 1.2%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Trader has an On3 NIL Valuation of $154K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
