DeSoto (Texas) three-star linebacker Brandon Booker received an offer from Florida State on Sunday. He announced the news over social media.

Booker is the No. 408 overall prospect and No. 36 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 77 player in Texas.

“When I’m healthy, I feel that I bring a major impact to the team,” Booker told Billy Embody of The Bengal Tiger on April 10. “I feel when I need to be, I’m a leader. Even just in general like the weight room, I feel like I set an example. I want to everybody to be to a certain level. When it comes to field play, everybody has to ball, play your position and make sure everybody’s responsible for your job.”

Right now, the Seminoles’ 2024 recruiting class ranks No. 7 in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the ACC. It includes Albany (Ga.) Dougherty four-star running back Kameron Davis, Blountstown (Fla.) four-star safety Jordan Pride, Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek and Live Oak (Fla.) Suwannee four-star wide receiver Camdon Frier among others.

More on Booker’s recruitment

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound recruit holds 10 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, SMU is leading for his commitment at 58.7%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Booker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
