Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis will forgo the NFL Draft return for the 2023 season, he announced Monday via Twitter. A starter for each of the past three seasons, Travis will enter his fifth year with the Seminoles and his sixth year of college football.

Travis originally committed to Louisville in 2018 out of The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida. He was a three-star recruit and the No. 61 quarterback in the class according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average.

Travis spent just one season with the Cardinals before transferring to Tallahassee is 2019. He took over as the starter midway through the 2020 season, and entered 2021 as the Week 1 starter.

In 2022, Travis set career highs in both passing yards (2,796) and touchdowns (22), while also adding 367 yards rushing and seven more touchdowns. He also helped the Seminoles finish 9-3 in the regular season and earn a bid to the Cheez-It Bowl, where they’ll have a chance to reach 10 wins for the first time since 2016.

With Jordan Travis returning for the 2023 season, he’ll have one more opportunity to take the Seminoles to even greater heights and improve his NFL Draft stock in the process.
