Mike Norvell has quite the leader at quarterback in Jordan Travis. Still, he noted how far the quarterback room has come down in Tallahassee just this offseason.

Norvell went quarterback by quarterback and explained their growth in his press conference following Florida State’s spring showcase this weekend. He said they’re all working on things that, when you add them all up, make the Seminoles QB room a very competitive space.

I think it was good. There was good and there were some plays that were very teachable moments for all four of them. I thought they did a good job of responding,” Norvell said. “I’m really pleased with the growth in that room. There’s a lot of competition…..All those guys are pushing forward.”

Brock (Glenn) had a series where he missed a couple of throws early. I was glad to see him come back in the end and have that touchdown drive and to not let it go the other way. There was a series that I thought (AJ Duffy) was just a little hesitant in some of the decision-making…And I thought he had a really good drive at the end as well,” said Norvell. “Tate (Rodemaker) has done a great job of continuing to push to take another step. Jordan is really working to improve and today was not perfect. There was things that he knows in the moment where it could be better and where he can be even more efficient.”

Again, Travis remains the man down at FSU, especially after this last season. Even so, the other quarterbacks in the room all seemed to show Norvell something on the field that he liked. All three of the trio of Rodemaker, Duffy, and Glenn also have the potential to make something happen with two heading into another year after developing and one getting accustomed to the college game.

This was a very positive thumbs-up from Norvell when it came to his quartet of quarterbacks. Now, all four also have things to continue to improve as they head into next season.
