Georgia unveiled the uniform combination the Bulldogs will rock for their most important game yet versus the Michigan Wolverines.

The players will sport their white jerseys with white pants and the red helmet on Friday evening. The combo isn’t unique but the jersey does sport the Orange Bowl patch.

Looking back four months ago, the Bulldogs began their road to the Orange bowl with a road win versus the Clemson Tigers. In that game, they wore white jerseys with silver pants and red helmets. They also had seven sacks, which they’re hoping to replicate to take down the Wolverines.

The Bulldogs have the backing of ESPN’s Paul Finebaum in the College Football Playoff semifinal showdown.

“I am well aware that Georgia laid a big egg in Atlanta a couple weeks ago, but I think they will figure some things out,” Finebaum said when asked if he believes the Michigan Wolverines can knock off Georgia. “Having said that, I don’t want to rain down on Jim Harbaugh. I’ve done that for years and have been finally proven wrong this year. He’s been spectacular. I give him all the credit in the world. I felt like he deserved to be the national coach of the year. He has built a team from the ashes, a year ago, many were wondering if he would even be around.

“I really give a lot of credit to the Michigan Wolverines program but I really don’t know if they are quite ready for what they are going to get into with this Georgia Bulldogs defense.”

Georgia through ‘little bout’ of COVID-19 ahead of Orange Bowl

The Georgia Bulldogs have not been unscathed through the recent surge of COVID-19 cases. However, according to head coach Kirby Smart, the Bulldogs are already through “a little bout.” Players that contracted COVID are already returning, and just in time with two days until the Orange Bowl.

“They really adhere to the policies we’ve asked them to, we’ve been able to steer clear for the most part,” Kirby Smart said. “We had a little bout the last couple weeks, we lost some guys, got most of those guys back. The biggest thing is being full-strength when you have to be and that’s what we’re aiming towards.”

Star wide receiver George Pickens was amongst the Bulldogs who tested positive for the virus. Pickens, however, flew into Miami this week after fully recovering. Backup quarterback JT Daniels also recovered and returned to the team.

With bowl games getting canceled daily at this rate, Georgia appears to be managing as best as they can as they prepare for their battle versus Michigan. The kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 31.
