Georgia wide receiver Georgie Pickens announce intentions for 2022 season

As the story goes with all college football teams who have just finished the season as national champions, players of that team look to make the jump to the next level, and the Georgia Bulldogs are no exception to that rule. After missing the majority of the season, recovering from ACL surgery, Bulldogs star receiver George Pickens has announced he will be entering into the 2022 NFL draft.

Pickens tore his ACL in the spring and had been sidelined for all of the 2021 season. He made his return to the field in the Bulldogs season finale against in-state rival Georgia Tech.

During his first two seasons in Athens, Pickens hauled in 85 passes for 1,240 receiving yards, while bringing in 14 touchdowns in 22 games. He finished his stellar freshman campaign with a breakout performance against the Baylor Bears in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, snatching 12 catches for 175 receiving yards.

Georgia Bulldogs Nakobe Dean headed to the draft

The Georgia Bulldogs are national champions and sit as kings on top of the college football world, thanks to their defense led by linebacker Nakobe Dean. So it comes as no surprise, on Friday, Dean is cashing in on the Bulldogs successful season and is entering the 2022 NFL draft.

The Bulldogs linebacker announced his decision from his personal Instagram account with a letter pinned to Dawg Nation.

“I would first like to thank God, for blessing me to be able to be in this position. If it weren’t for him, I would not be here today. The past three years at the University of Georgia have been nothing short of amazing and I will never forget the unwavering support I have received from the greatest fans in college football,” wrote Dean.

“After much thought and prayer, I have decided to forego my senior year at UGA end declare for the 2022 NFL draft.”

Dean totaled 72 tackles this season, second on the team behind Lewis Cine, including a team-high 10.5 tackles for loss. His 6.0 sacks was also second to Robert Beal.
