Like most people who go to play in a golf tournament, Georgia coach Kirby Smart headed to the driving range to get some swings in before teeing off. Well, someone decided to play a prank on him.

Smart went to hit a shot on the range prior to the Peach Bowl Challenge in Atlanta, but the golf ball turned into a ball of smoke when he hit it. It certainly caught him off guard, and the national championship-winning coach had a good laugh afterward.

It’s all in good fun as Smart gets ready to play with former Ole MissAuburnTexas Tech and Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville in the tournament. Plenty of big-name college coaches — both past and present — are competing in the event, which tees off Tuesday at Lake Oconee.
