Avon (Conn.) Old Farms four-star quarterback and Georgia commit Ryan Puglisi is the latest top quarterback to receive an invitation to the 2023 Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles next month.

Puglisi is the No. 150 overall prospect and No. 12 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Connecticut.

On3 is higher on him than other recruiting services though, tabbing him in the most recent On300 rankings as the nation’s No. 104 prospect and No. 7 quarterback.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound signal-caller is the latest quarterback to make the cut for the Elite 11’s showcase event in California. In total, 18 top passers have now been invited to the event, including fellow Georgia commit and Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Dylan Raiola.

UPDATED ELITE 11 FINALS ROSTER

One of the highest honors for a high school quarterback is being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 24rd year in 2023, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles.

Elite 11 alumni include Carson PalmerAndrew LuckMatthew StaffordTim Tebow, and more recently Trevor LawrenceC.J. StroudBryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including three of the top five players at the position.

Puglisi remains committed despite Raiola’s commitment

While Puglisi committed to the Bulldogs back in November, he did so at a time when Georgia had no other quarterback pledges and the aforementioned Raiola was still committed to Ohio State. A lot has changed since then, with Raiola, the No. 1 player in the class, decommitting from OSU and committing to UGA earlier this month.

What hasn’t changed though, is Puglisi’s plan to be a Bulldog.

“I’m locked in with Georgia. I’m not going anywhere,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons last month.

Puglisi was originally recruited by and committed to former offensive coordinator Todd Monken before he left for the NFL. Since his departure, Puglisi has talked to new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo every day and says he doesn’t feel much difference between he and former OC .

“Coach Bobo is a great guy,” Puglisi said last month. “I love everything about him when it comes to football, and outside of football. He is a family guy, and he loves Georgia football. They (Bobo and Monken) are pretty similar. I think they both have a similar mindset on the way they think and coach.”
