No. 1 Georgia extended its lead to 14-0 over No. 11 Kentucky with a 24-yard touchdown run by Zamir White. The play capped off a five-play, 80-yard drive which took just 2:11 off the clock early in the second quarter.

After starting the drive with a two-yard run taking away by a holding penalty, White gave way to his teammates in the backfield. Kendall Milton started the march forward with a 35-yard run, then quarterback Stetson Bennett scrambled for 17 more. Change-of-pace back James Cook showed his burst on a 12-yard carry to set up first-and-10 at the Kentucky 24-yard line.

Zamir White finished with a 24-yard sprint through the gap for a touchdown, completing the work of his teammates.

So far, Georgia has 108 team rushing yards, including 29 yards and a touchdown from White. Milton and Cook have combined for 53 more yards on just four carries.

Kirby Smart on College GameDay

For the second time in three weeks, ESPN’s College GameDay is setting up in Athens, Georgia. The decision to return provides No. 1 Georgia a chance to show off its new ranking and impress fans across the country with a top 15 SEC showdown. Preparing for another tough challenge, head coach Kirby Smart called for Georgia fans to help the team anyway possible.

During a Friday appearance on the SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum Show, Smart complimented the Georgia fanbase and called for help against Kentucky this Saturday.

“It’s awesome,” Kirby Smart said about the second College GameDay broadcast in three weeks. “It’s what it’s about, right? The fans want to enjoy it, our state deserves it. And you know, we got a lot of great prospects going to be on campus. What better environment to have them in than this, and they enjoy that. Our fans are second to none, what they did that Arkansas game and how they’re going to turn out tomorrow, I think it just brings more energy to the program.”

Georgia delivered in its first College GameDay game of the season, beating No. 8 Arkansas 37-0 without starting quarterback JT Daniels. The formula remains the same against No. 11 Kentucky, dominate on defense and capitalize on offensive chances with quarterback Stetson Bennett.

The versatile run game offered by Zamir White, Kendall Milton and James Cook looks to rule the day once again with early success against the stout Kentucky defense.
