Iowa has suspended guard Ahron Ulis for its exhibition game against Truman State next week, the Hawkeyes announced Thursday. He received a citation for disorderly conduct after an altercation earlier this month.

“Ulis will be suspended for Iowa’s exhibition game on Oct. 31,” a statement from Iowa Athletics said. “He is subject to the rules and regulations of the UI Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, and the rules and regulations established for members of the men’s basketball program.”

Ulis is a former three-star recruit and was the No. 156 player in the country from the class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Iowa will unofficially start its season against Truman State Oct. 31 before starting the regular season against Bethune-Cookman Nov. 7.
