Kansas has extended an offer to Colleyville (Texas) Covenant Christian Academy four-star EDGE Enow Etta.

Etta is one of the top pass rushers in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He is the No. 119 overall recruit in the On300 rankings and 17th-best player in Texas. In the On3 Consensus, he is the No. 162 recruit and 19th-best EDGE in the class.

Enow Etta also holds offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado, Kansas State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin.

Etta has not received an offer from Texas A&M but he has visited College Station, Texas, twice. He was in town for the Mississippi State game and the upset victory over Alabama.

Enow Etta is a menace for opposing offensive lines

Enow Etta is only his third year playing football having started when he entered high school.

But he has quickly become an absolutely dominant force on the defensive line for Covenant Christian Academy. He had 23 tackles and three sacks as a freshman before breaking out as a sophomore.

He had 67 tackles — 16.0 for loss — and 17 sacks in eight games last fall.

Somehow, Enow Etta has been even better as a junior. Through eight games this year, he has 96 tackles, 32.0 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hurries and 15.0 sacks.

Those are video game numbers, all for a kid who never played the game a few years ago.

Kansas also offered another Texas defender

Kansas linebackers coach Chris Simpson must have been all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Friday because the Jayhawks have also extended an offered to 2023 Carrollton (Texas) Hebron linebacker Carson Dean.

Dean also has offers from Baylor and Washington.

In Hebron’s game Friday against Plano (Texas) Plano West, Dean returned an interception 35 yards for a touchdown. Hebron won the game 47-35.
