2022 five-star small forward Chris Livingston will take a second official visit to Kentucky on Oct. 9, per On3’s Joe Tipton.

Livingston recently announced a top four leading up to his October commitment. Kentucky, Memphis, Tennessee State and Georgetown made the final cut, with the G League also still in consideration.

The 6-foot-7 small forward cut Alabama, Florida, Kansas, LSU, North Carolina, Ohio State and Overtime Elite from his previous list.

Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio reported that the Kentucky coaching staff will be making an in-home visit with Livingston on Thursday,

“John Calipari, Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman all in for 2022 five-star forward Chris Livingston, source tells KSR,” Pilgrim said. “Kentucky looking to seal the deal with the top-10 prospect.”

Kentucky offered on May 18 and quickly scheduled his first official visit with the Wildcats for June 18.

Chris Livingston’s second official visit to Lexington means that Kentucky will likely be the last school to receive a visit from the five-star ahead of his October 15th decision date.

Livingston will also take an official visit to Memphis from Sept. 17-19 ahead of his decision. In August, Livingston visited the other two contenders for his commitment, Georgetown and Tennessee State.

Chris Livingston says Kentucky’s development and history of pros stands out to him.

“The history, and the formula of how the make pros…development,” Livingston told On3’s Joe Tipton. “Coach (John) Calipari has a fiery coaching style and believes in his players. He has a special connection with his players while they’re there, you know not just being a coach but being a mentor at the same time. The history, culture, fan base…all of that plays into what makes Kentucky.”

Chris Livingston is the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 ranked small forward in the On3‘s latest player rankings for the class of 2022

Eventful week for Kentucky

It’s been an eventful week for the Kentucky Wildcats.

On Tuesday, the Wildcats received a commitment from the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2022 class in Shaedon Sharpe, as previously covered by On3’s Joe Tipton.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Glendale (Arizona) Dream City Christian is the Wildcats’ second commitment of the 2022 class, following four-star point guard Skyy Clark. Clark is ranked no. 21 overall in the On3 100 rankings, and the no. 4 point guard.

Sharpe’s commitment came with the news that four-star guard Nick Smith Jr., a 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Sherwood (Arkansas) North Little Rock will no longer consider Kentucky, as per Tipton.
