Kentucky basketball releases schedule for the 2022-2023 season

The Kentucky basketball program has waited quite a long time to release the schedule for the 2022-2023 season. With contracts finally ironed out and fixed, though, John Calipari hinted at a release of the slate on Tuesday. That promise has now been fulfilled as the Wildcats have officially announced their full schedule for the upcoming season including the previously announced SEC schedule.

Their non-conference slate is particularly loaded with big names this season. The Wildcats will face the reigning champion Kansas Jayhawks in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. That comes after facing Michigan State, Gonzaga, Michigan, UCLA, and Louisville earlier in the campaign.

The SEC slate is just as tough these days, though, after six SEC teams made the NCAA Tournament a year ago with a few more just missing the cut. Their SEC includes some massive home games for Kentucky to end the year with Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn all scheduled to come to Lexington.

The Kentucky faithful can finally plan accordingly to catch this season’s team in action with the full schedule revealed. With plenty of expectations and hype around this year’s Wildcats, this should have fans ready to go come the unofficial tip to the year with Big Blue Madness next Friday night.
