Kentucky guard Collin Chandler's wedding photos emerge on social media

Collin Chandler was one of two players to get engaged for Kentucky this season during their trip to New York City. Now, seven months later, the Wildcat guard will be tying the knot today.

Chandler is set to marry his fiancé, Hannah, sometime on Thursday. That’s after celebrating with their loved ones last night per social media with the couple sharing photos on Instagram this morning.

Chandler got down on one knee in Central Park back in December while UK was in New York City to play Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic. Andrew Carr did so as well while the team was in the Big Apple. Those were about the only positives of the trip, as the Wildcats did lose to the Buckeyes by their second-largest margin of the entire season in a 20-point loss at 85-65 in Madison Square Garden.

Chandler was a bright spot for Kentucky by the end of his freshman season. He appeared in 30 games off the bench and averaged 2.7 points (36.1% FG, 34.7% 3PT) and 1.0 rebounds per game for the Wildcats. He, in seeing his role expand with his development and injuries in the team’s backcourt, improved those to 5.5 points (47.1% FG, 51.5% 3PT on 1.3 makes), 1.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 0.9 steals over the last eleven games, in 15.1 minutes per outings, of the season.

That’s after Chandler, a former four-star recruit from back in the 2022 cycle, returned from a two-year mission in Sierra Leone and London for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That delayed his college arrival after originally committing to BYU, with him deciding to follow Mark Pope to Kentucky upon his return to the United States.

Now, Chandler is one of the few returners coming back to Lexington this offseason as a sophomore for next season. He’ll be back on the roster alongside Brandon Garrison and Trent Noah while the program awaits the draft decision of Otega Oweh. They’ll pair with two four-star freshmen, an international prospect, and one of the top classes in the transfer portal currently to make up what should be a top team in college basketball for the start of next season. Chandler is a promising piece of that team coming off the close to his first season, who’s now going into a full offseason ahead of his second.

With tip-off to that still several months out, the Chandler’s fit their wedding in this offseason with their ceremony sometime today. That should give the newly-weds plenty of time to celebrate and honeymoon before they return to the bluegrass this summer ahead of next season.
