The Kentucky basketball team is just days away from their trip to the Bahamas for their foreign tour. They’ll head out Monday before playing in four games starting on Wednesday.

The exhibitions come with an all new look for the Wildcats next week. The program released the first look at the classic style uniforms in a tweet ahead of the trip.

Sahvir Wheeler, Cason Wallace and Daimion Collins are featured in a white, blue and black alternate of the jerseys. With a rebrand in the works, these are a sneak peek of what the program could wear in future seasons.

These jerseys will make their debut on Wednesday, August 10th when they start their exhibitions from the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau against the Dominican Republic National Select Team. They’ll also play Tec de Monterey, Carleton University and the Bahamas National Team during their week abroad.

Kentucky basketball announces home-and-home with Gonzaga to begin in 2022

The saying fighting like cats and dogs will take on a whole new meaning next season for the Kentucky Wildcats. According to On3’s Tyler Thompson, Kentucky will face off against a fellow elite blue-bloods program in the Gonzaga Bulldogs for a home-and-home series.

The first matchup between these two mammoth college basketball programs will take place on Nov. 20 in Spokane, home of the Bulldogs. And the following year, the Wildcats will welcome Gonzaga to the always ruckus Rupp Arena in 2023.

To announce the home and home series, Kentucky head coach John Calipari used a unique method to deliver the message. During a break in the Wildcats scrimmage on Tuesday, the Kentucky head coach video called Gonzaga’s head coach, Mark Few, using the arena’s Jumbotron, putting Few front and center. After a few words from the Gonzaga head man, Calipari announced to all that were in attendance the universities agreed upon what will be one of the biggest college basketball matchups in the early part of the season.
