Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith received an offer from Louisville on Friday night. He announced the news over social media.

Smith is the No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound wideout has received 40 offers. He spoke with On3’s Chad Simmons last month about what he is looking for in a school.

“It’s big for me because I want to see teams who have a balanced offense, that can run and throw the ball,” Smith told Simmons. “Not just only about passing the ball, but we have a running back in the backfield who could be able to run the ball too, that could help us step right out. I want to go a school that (has) a balanced offense.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has a commanding lead for Smith’s commitment at 96.3%. He was last in Columbus on Sept. 3.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Smith has an On3 NIL Valuation of $173K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Jeremiah Smith On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Jeremiah Smith:

“Big, skilled receiver with fluidity and savvy for the position. Measured in at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds prior to his junior season. Had a breakout 2021 season, helping his Chaminade-Madonna team to a state championship. Turned in several strong performances, including a big state title game. Polished route-runner at this early stage. Smooth mover with some technical refinement that allows for separation. Shows good ball skills with his ability to track the football over his shoulder. Does not register as a top athlete in the combine setting at this stage. Can further take advantage of his size by continuing to improve his contested catch skills.”
