WATCH: Louisville 4-star QB commit Pierce Clarkson throws long touchdown pass
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star quarterback Pierce Clarkson got off to a great start on Friday night against Mission Viejo (Calif.). One of the Louisville commit’s top plays was a long touchdown pass to a future college teammate.
As Clarkson dropped back near his red zone, he found three-star athlete and Cardinals pledge Jahlil McClain wide open downfield. Clarkson’s pass soon connected with McClain, who crossed the goal line for a score.
Clarkson is the No. 247 overall prospect and No. 15 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 18 player from California.
Louisville’s 2023 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 19 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 4 in the ACC. The group is led by El Campo (Texas) five-star running back Rueben Owens, the No. 28 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.
Clarkson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $162K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
