LSU has jumped into the mix for one of the top cornerbacks in the 2023 cycle in Arlington (Texas) Martin four-star cornerback Javien Toviano.

The Tigers extended Toviano a scholarship offer Thursday.

Toviano is the No. 24 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is the third-best player from the state of Texas behind only Allen (Texas) High five-star defensive lineman David Hicks and Denton (Texas) Ryan five-star linebacker Anthony Hill.

Toviano is also the third-best cornerback in the cycle behind only Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Cormani McClain and Florence (Ala.) four-star cornerback Jahlil Hurley.

The 2023 cycle has plenty of cornerback talent, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Dallas South Oak Cliff four-star cornerback Malik Muhammad, Coppell (Texas) four-star cornerback Braxton Myers, Dallas South Oak Cliff four-star cornerback Jayvon Thomas and Javien Toviano make up four of the top 14 cornerback recruits in the cycle.

LSU has one player committed in the 2023 cycle in Vivian (La.) North Caddo four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller.
