Miami flips four-star DB Brody Jennings from Michigan

Miami adds its fourth defensive back to its 2026 class by completing a flip of Jacksonville, Florida, athlete Brody Jennings from Michigan.
“Miami is just a great spot, great school,” Jennings said. “It’s a school I can be successful at.”
The six-foot-one, 175-pound cornerback, from Mandarin High School, had the time of his life for his official visit to Miami amid a family tragedy. His father, Bradley, passed away just before the trip was to begin for the family. The group would follow through and see Coral Gables once more as the Hurricane staff worked to make the weekend as uplifting as possible.
“My dad passed a few days ago, so I couldn’t really think,” Jennings told local media. “I came on the visit and had the time of my life. I came here to have fun. It was about football, but more about family and football at the same time. He (Mario Cristobal) is not just a football guy, he’s a family guy — all the coaches are family guys. Father figures.
“My dad wanted me to be strong. He liked Miami a lot. He liked the school a lot, and I like it a lot. We wanted to still see everything.”
Jennings committed to Michigan in July of 2024, and the Wolverines made a strong pitch for him to stay with the class on his final OV.

“They showed me a lot of love,” Jennings said of the Michigan staff. “It was expected, I already knew what I was about to get. That’s one reason why I committed. It was a great overall visit. The people there are amazing. It’s a program that everyone would want to be around.”
The relationship with the Hurricanes has always been strong through his recruitment despite the departure of previous defensive backs coach Chevis Jackson. Defensive backs coaches Will Harris and Zac Etheridge maintained nearly daily contact with Jennings once they arrived in Coral Gables.
“Always great,” Jennings said of the relationship he has with the Hurricanes. “They talk to me almost every day…I already had a strong relationship with [Harris] since he was at Florida.”
Jennings will join a strong defensive back class that includes four-stars Jaelen Waters, Jontavius Wyman, and three-star Camdin Portis.
