Earlier today, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine listed Auburn as the favorite for Kennesaw (Ga.) Kennesaw Mountain four-star interior offensive lineman Connor Lew, who is announcing his commitment on Aug. 5. Just hours later, there is a new leader for the 6-foot-3, 282 pound prospect.

The RPM gives Miami a commanding lead for Lew’s commitment at 93.8% following expert predictions from On3’s Gary Ferman, Keith Niebuhr and Chad Simmons. Lew is rated as the No. 529 overall prospect and the No. 42 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 50 player in Georgia.

Even though he is not listed in the 2023 On300, On3’s rankings rate him higher as the No. 36 interior offensive lineman and the No. 44 player in Georgia.

Recruiting impact if Lew commits to Miami

If Lew commits to Miami, he will be the Hurricanes’ second interior offensive lineman commit alongside Owings Mills (Md.) IMG Academy four-star Antonio Tripp. Miami also has pledges from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, Playa Del Rey (Calif.) St. Bernard three-star  Frankie Tinilau and Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic three-star offensive tackle Tommy Kinsler.

The Hurricanes’ 2023 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 6 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the ACC. It contains 16 recruits and is composed of one five-star, nine four-stars and six three-stars.

Miami currently has one commit from Lew’s home state of Georgia in Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater four-star linebacker Raul Aguirre. Lew would also be the Hurricanes’ first pledge of August if he chooses head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff. He took an official visit to Coral Gables on June 10.

Lew has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
