2024 OT Andrew Dennis commits to Michigan State Spartans

Mt. Pleasant (Mich.) three-star offensive tackle Andrew Dennis committed to Michigan State Saturday He announced the news on Twitter.

Dennis is the No. 668 overall prospect and No. 45 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 12 player in Michigan.

Dennis’ decision comes on the day that he took his third visit to Michigan State. He had taken previous visits March 14 and Jan. 14 and is set to return to campus on April 15 for the Spartans’ spring game.

Aside from his visits to Michigan State, the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder has enjoyed a busy 2023. In January he visited Miami (Ohio) on the 21st and Cincinnati a day later.

Dennis kicked off the spring with an offer from Michigan State on March 1. He followed that up with visits to Michigan (March 6), Ohio State (March 7), Michigan State (March 15), Penn State (March 16) and Cincinnati (March 24).

“It’s definitely up there,” Dennis told On3 regarding Michigan State following the March 15 visit. “It is a place I really like. I really liked the meetings and watching practice. It was high intensity and everyone was excited to be there. I definitely got a lot out of it and I am glad I went.”

Dennis currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $19.2K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Following Dennis’ commitment, the Spartans now have three commitments in their 2024 class. They rank as the No. 17 class in the country according to the 2024 On3 Team Recruiting Rankings. and the No. 4 class in the Big Ten.

Dennis joins Dennis joins Hialeah (Fla.) Westland Hialeah four-star cornerback Jamari Howard and Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale four-star cornerback Jaylen Thompson  as the Spartans current 2024 commitments.

Michigan State wrapped up the 2023 recruiting cycle signing 17 players. The Spartans 2023 group ranked as the No. 22 class in the country and the No. 4 class in the Big Ten.
